  • “No Guarantee on MSP, No Option But to Come Back to Protest”: Farmers’ Speak at Ramlila Ground

    Over 20,000 farmers have assembled at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi today for the "Kisan Mahapanchayat" to demand increased security and a legal guarantee on the minimum support price. According to Krishi Jagran correspondents, thousands of farmers are traveling to Delhi to join the event from different states and union territories. Last month, the SKM announced that the "Kisan Mahapanchayat" will be convened to push for a formal guarantee on the minimum support price (MSP).

     

     

  • Indian Scientist- 'Khengdauliu Chawang' Develops Tiny Sensor to Check Food Spoilage

    While industries normally use much bigger metres- around one inch long by five inches tall- to measure pH levels or how acidic or basic the food is, they are not suited for inclusion in every box of food to check its freshness in real-time. "The pH sensors we designed act like a little wireless radio-frequency identifying device- similar to what you discover inside your luggage tag after it has been checked at airports," said the device's creator, Khengdauliu Chawang, a Ph.D. student at Southern Methodist University in Texas, US. "Every time a food package with our gadget passes through a checkpoint, such as shipping logistics centres, harbours, gateways, or supermarket entrances, the data might be relayed back to a server recording their pH levels," Chawang said in a university release.

     

     

  • Krishi Sanyantra Mela 2023 to Showcase Agri Technology with Union Ministers to Grace the Event

    Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar, Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, and Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Former Union Minister of State for MSME & FAHD and Member of Parliament, Balasore will be attending the history-making mela in Odisha. The event is organized by Krishi Jagran from 25 to 27 march 2023, with the theme being "Explore the Unexplored Affluent Agri Odisha."

     

  • Union Agri Minister Directs NAFED to Contribute & Promote IYoM-2023 Globally

    NAFED has begun extending marketing links to Millets-centric Startups, establishing a Millet Corner in NAFED Bazaar Retail Shops, and installing Millet Vending Machines across Delhi-NCR as part of the collaboration. It is also establishing a Millets Experience Centre at Delhi Haat, INA to promote nutritious millets and raise knowledge about India's rich past through millet-based meals. Tomar added, all Central Ministries and State Governments including prominent Food and Beverage Agencies and Industries, both Public and Private should pitch in to make IYoM-23 a 'People's Movement' alongside placing India as the "World Center for Millets."

     

  • New Holland Agriculture Inaugurates State-Of-The-Art Training Centre

    A new training facility has been opened in Greater Noida by the CNH Industrial brand New Holland Agricultural to improve the technical proficiency of its staff, dealer teams, and customers. Tractors, harvesters, and balers can receive technical and professional training at this facility. It can currently train 75 people at once, but in the upcoming months, that capacity will rise to 90 trainees for a variety of training programmes. As an alternative to more conventional in-field training, the knowledge centre has a virtual reality (VR) room with the newest technology to train operators. This creates a secure learning environment, especially for new operators.
