• New device developed by IIT for measuring cold chain temperatures

  A new device, AmbiTag has been developed by IIT Ropar, which will measure the temperatures of perishable goods in the cold chain. It will help to identify if the product is usable or has expired.

• World No Tobbacco Day celebrated with pledges

  Union Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan, held an online meeting where he identified the loss to health and economy caused by tobacco. He pledged to say no to tobacco. He wants to make laws to ban the production and manufacture of tobacco based products.

• No heat wave conditions in the country

  This summer even at the beginning of June, heat wave conditions have been seen over very few regions in the country. Some parts of Rajasthan has seen heat wave conditions while rest of the country is enjoying normal weather.

• Horticulture Cluster Development Programme

  Horticulture Cluster Development Programme has been launched by the government to develop the Horticulture Clusters in the country. This programme aims to increase the output of these clusters by 20 percent and attract investments of Rs 100 billion into the horticulture sector.

• MSP procurement going smoothly in the country

  Government has invested over 800 billion Rupees in procuring MSP crops. This has benefitted over 43 Lakh farmers in this Rabi Marketing Season.

• District in Meghalaya to see heavy rainfall

  East Garo Hills district in Meghalaya is under alert for heavy rainfall today.

• GeM looks for greater participation

  Government e-Marketplace has over 18 lakh sellers and 52 thousand buyers. The government is hoping for greater participation as at the moment different ministries order their requirements through the portal. You can order both goods and services through GeM.

• India atmanirbhar in milk production

  Government officials have declared on the "World Milk Day" that India is atmanirbhar in milk production. It produces milk in excess quantities and hence is a big exporter of milk and milk based products.

• BIS declares RDSO a SDO

  BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) has declared RDSO (Research Design & Standards Organization) the first SDO (Standard Developing Organization) of the country according to the "One Nation one Standard" mission.

• Southwest monsoon will be normal

  Southwest monsoon's are expected to provide normal rainfall this year across the entire country.

• It's a fight to save crops and our race

  Protesting farmers spokesperson Rakesh Tikait has tweeted that these protests must be seen as a fight by farmers to save their crops and race. These new laws are a noose around the farmers neck which can be potentially lethal, he tweets.

• Indian pharma company to run clinical trial on Canadian vaccine
