Coronavirus India live updates: Covid-19 fatality rate lowest on Friday since March 22
India has one of the lowest Covid-19 deaths per million population in the world with less than 1,000 fatalities registered daily since October 4. The fatality rate of 1.52 per cent on Friday was the lowest since March 22, the Union health ministry said.

Durga Puja pandals in West Bengal to be no-entry zones for visitors: Calcutta High Court
Amid fears of a surge in Covid-19 cases in West Bengal, the Calcutta High Court on Monday said Durga Puja pandals would be no-entry zones for visitors. Hearing a PIL by Ajay Kumar, the High Court said revelers would not be allowed within a five-metre distance for small pandals and 10 metre for big pandals and directed organisers to erect barricades at their entrance.

Indo-China Border Dispute: Chinese soldier held in eastern Ladakh after ‘straying’ across LAC
Amid the corona crisis, the Indian Army on Monday apprehended a Chinese soldier in eastern Ladakh. The Army said that the soldier had “strayed across the Line of Actual Control (LAC)” and will be handed over to the People Liberation Army (PLA) soon.

Next Three Months Might Be The "Darkest of The Entire Pandemic: US Expert
A leading US infectious-disease expert warned that the next three months might be the "darkest of the entire pandemic," citing what he described as a "major problem in messaging" related to COVID-19. "We do have vaccines and therapeutics coming down the pike," Dr. Michael Osterholm, the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota said on a press meet and warned all the States.
