  • Severe Cold Wave Alert in These Five States

    On 18th December (Saturday), the India Meteorological Department said that Cold wave to severe cold wave conditions has prevailed in 5 states for the last few days. Similar conditions are likely to continue till 21st December (Tuesday), thereafter the temperatures are expected to rise slightly, he further noted. For the past 3 days, the cold wave “severe’ cold wave conditions have prevailed over some parts of northwest India, including Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan & some parts of west Uttar Pradesh & north Madhya Pradesh, “Mrityunjay Mohapatra, DG, IMD said.

  • CAI Pegs November Cotton Arrivals at 77 Lakh Bales

    The Trade body Cotton Association of India (CAI) estimated the cotton arrival for the month of November at 77 lakh bales. CAI has released November month’s arrival & the monthly cotton balance sheet. In its monthly balance sheet for November 2021, CAI has estimated the total cotton supply at 154.76 lakh bales of 170 kgs, each, which consists of arrivals of 77.76 lakh bales of 170 kgs, each, imports 2 lakhs bales of 170 kgs, each during the month of November 2021 & Opening Stock of 75 lakh bales of 170 kgs, each at the beginning of the season on 1st October 2021.

  • PM Modi to Attend 60 Years of Goa’s Independence

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to Goa on 19th December to attend 60 years of Goa’s Independence celebration. He will reach Azad Maidan at around 2 pm. This will follow by the Prime Minister’s program at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium at 3 pm, said Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
