  • Farmer tries to commit suicide over farm Bills

    A day after the Lok Sabha has passed two contentious agriculture Bills, despite the opposition by BJP's oldest ally Shiromani Akali Dal calling it as an "anti-farmer" move, a protesting farmer in Punjab has today (September 18) tried to commit suicide by consuming poisonous substance.

  • Covid-19 Latest: Maharashtra State energy minister tests Corona positive

    Maharashtra on Thursday reported 24,619 Covid-19 cases. As many as 19,522 patients have been discharged on 18 September 2020 after treatment, taking the number of recoveries in Maharashtra to 8,12,354 & the state now has 3,01,752 active Corona cases. In the meantime, Maharashtra energy minister, Mr. Nitin Raut has tested positive for Covid-19 today.

  • Hot Conditions to Continue in North & North-west for next 10 to 13 days: Experts

    The monsoon seems to have retreated from the north & north-west part of India as hot and moist conditions are likely to continue for the rest of September according to weather experts. Experts are blaming the monsoon trough moving from the Bay of Bengal towards the westerly direction instead of usual north-westerly for this. The hot conditions are expected to continue for next 10 to 13 days till the monsoon completely withdraws from the region without any rainfall.

  • Paytm app Removed from Google Play Store

    Google has removed Paytm and Paytm First Game Fantasy apps from the Play Store while other applications like Paytm for Business, Paytm mall, Paytm Money, and a few more are still available. Commenting on the matter Paytm states, “Paytm Android app is temporarily unavailable on Google’s Play Store for new downloads or updates.” The reason is still unknown.


  • Facebook to launch smart glasses with Ray-Ban Next Year

    Facebook has declared its partnership with Ray-Ban for launching its smart glasses in 2021. However, it is unknown about what features the glasses will bring and how will it look in reality. But this wearable tech would be a step in its project on Augmented Reality (AR) glasses. The tech giant had recently revealed its research project on the future of wearable tech known as Project Aria. It talked about its plans to create wearable AR devices.

  • India Coronavirus Live Update : 18 Indian states report rise in active cases in the last 24 hours

    India has recently reported 96,424 new cases of the coronavirus disease , taking the cumulative tally past 5.21 million mark. With a constant surge in Covid-19 cases at a record-breaking pace, India is the second worst-hit country globally and is expected to overtake the United States, where the total positive cases are more than 6.67 million, in the coming few weeks.
