IMD Predicts Heavy rains Along With Cyclonic Circulation in South India
India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in some parts of South India including Puducherry, Tamil Nadu & Karaikal, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, over the next 3 days. There will be light to moderate rains expected for the rest of the week. According to the weather department, a low-pressure area lies over the Southeast & the adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal along with the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 5.8 km above the mean sea level. It is likely to over nearly westwards & reaches West Central & the adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh- north Tamil Nadu coast by 18th November (Thursday).

World Trade Organization May Purpose New Agriculture Package
Ahead of a key ministerial conference, the World Trade Organization is likely to float a revised draft text for a possible agriculture package to break the deadlock in the farm talks at a meeting later this month. The possible immediate deliverables on improved transparency, including shipments en route or advance notice for the export restrictions, language on the possible exemption from export restriction for UN World Food Program & the possibility of including specific post-ministerial deadlines for some topics, that could be a part of the package.

Delhi Govt Imposed WFH to Government Employees & Bans Construction Work
On 17th November (Wednesday), while announcing the emergency measures to reduce the pollution in the National Capital, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai, said that there will be 100% work from home (WFH) for the government departments till 21st November (Sunday). The government of Delhi has banned the construction & demolition work till 21st November (Sunday) in the city. “Schools & other educational institutes will remain closed in Delhi until further orders,” said Gopal Rai.
