  • Government to withdraw Sugar Export Subsidies

    On 17th August (Tuesday) Sudhanshu Pandey, the senior civil servant at Ministry o Consumer Affairs said that India is expected to withdraw the sugar export subsidies from new season beginning October as sharp rise in the global prices makes it easier for the Indian mills to sell sweetener on world market.

  • IMD Predicts heavy rains over Central & Adjoining North Peninsular India

    On 17th August (Tuesday) the India Meteorological Department predicted the enhanced rainfall activity over the central & adjoining north peninsular India during the next 3 days. IMD said that fairly widespread rains along with isolated heavy to very falls are likely over the Marathawada region, Odisha, Telangana, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha on 17th & 17 and over the Chhattisgarh from 17th to 18th & over the Coastal Andhra Pradesh on 17th August.

  • Non-Basmati rice to become Costlier by 10%

    Non-basmati rice, one of the main cereals for the Indians has now become costlier by 10% in last three days on increased prospects of the export to Bangladesh, after the neighboring nation cut import duty on rice to 15% from 25%. The traders expect from the locals to remain firm through October, as Dhaka said that the new rate would remain effective till 30th October.

     

  • Spice Money to deploy 1 lakh ATMs in Rural India

    On 17th August (Tuesday) the Fintech Spice Money said that it has established ATM network with 1 lakh micro- ATM operating across the rural India. The highest number of traditional ATMs installed by any bank in the country recently stands at approximately 60,000 making spice money at the fastest growing micro-ATM network.

     

  • Price of Chicken & fish to start rising in 6-7 weeks

    The price of Chicken & fish may start rising in the 6 – 7 weeks from now, when the festive consumption is expected to drive up demand even as the production hit due to the higher cost of the poultry feed. The price of soya bean, one of the main component of the poultry feed has more than doubled in the past 1 year, increasing the price of feed as well. It has caused many farmers to curtail or stop the production, wiping out also small poultry feed manufacture.
