TRS Government to Ask Growers to Give up Rythu Bandhu
The TRS government has decided to start a “Give it up” campaign to encourage cultivators to forego the financial assistance being given by the government under the scheme. This will also reduce the financial burden caused by the scheme on the state exchequer. After launching the scheme in the year 2018 by giving Rs 4,000/acre to every cultivator without any ceiling on the number of acres held by each farmer, the state government increased the amount to Rs 5,000 per acre.

Monsoon 2020 Brings Cheer for Grower’s in Odisha
The onset of monsoon has brought cheer to cultivators of Odisha’s Kendrapara district, who are busy preparing their fields for kharif cultivation. Around 1.23 lakh hectare land would be irrigated in the district during the current season. Ashok Mahasuar, Chief district agriculture officer said that the monsoon rain will be good for paddy crop. A farmer from Garadapur, Ramakant Jena said that the monsoon, which arrived little late, would accelerate agricultural operations in Kendrapara.

Gautam Budha Nagar Becomes Worst-hit district in UP
Amid the rising corona crisis across the nation, Uttar Pradesh has recorded its highest caseload at 547 in the last 24 hours. As per reports, Gautam Buddh Nagar on Tuesday became the worst affected district in the state with a total of 1,099 coronavirus cases. With 12 deaths so far, it also has the highest number of active cases at 545.

Coronavirus Live Update: India Reports 2000 Deaths in last 24 hours taking toll to 11,903
Recently, India has registered 2,000 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the death toll from the disease to 11,903. The number of infections surged to over 354,000. On the other hand, the recovery rate is at 52.79 per cent. Maharashtra has the highest number of cases in the country leaving Delhi in 2nd position.
