  • Amul & NDDB to Aid National-Level Cooperative Society for Organic Products

    As per an official announcement released on Monday, the proposed Multi State Cooperative Societies (MSCS) Act, 2002-based national-level cooperative society for organic products will have an authorised share capital of Rs 500 crore. This comes after the Union Cabinet gave its approval for the formation and promotion of a national cooperative society for organic products last week.

     

  • Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi Launches Women-Centric Naa Nayaki Scheme Providing Rs. 2000 per month

    After winning in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra pledged to provide every woman in Karnataka households Rs 2,000 per month as part of her election platform. According to Congress, this will benefit more than 1.5 crore women in the state. Each home in Karnataka will receive 200 free power units each month, according to past promises that were made by the party.

     

  • Dr. Himanshu Pathak Visits ICAR CRIJAF in Barrackpore, Interacts with Farmers and Staff

    Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary of DARE and Director General of ICAR, paid a visit to the ICAR-CRIJAF in Barrackpore on Sunday and spoke with staff members, farmers, scientists, and directors of the institutes' regional stations in Kolkata. He emphasised on farmers' involvement in technology development and on-farm research in his speech to farmers, farm women, SHG members, and scientists. 

     

  • ACFI Urges Finance Minister to Cut Import Duty & GST on Crop Protection Chemicals

    In the upcoming Union Budget 2023–24, the Agro Chem Federation of India (ACFI) has urged Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to lower import taxes on crop protection chemicals and offer financial incentives to private businesses working with Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) on research and development.

    The CA Foundation Result is expected to be released very soon by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, or ICAI. Candidates who had appeared in the test should be aware that the results will be made public most probably in the last week of January 2023. The result may be announced on January 23 or January 24, 2023.
