Government procures 12.50% more wheat this year in comparison to last year
The ongoing wheat procurement of 2021-2022 is continuing smoothly in the procuring states. Over 425.77 LMT of wheat is procured against the last year purchase of 389.92 LMT and around 47.53 lakhs of farmers are benefitted from the recent RMS wheat procurement.

Monsoon may arrive in Delhi by 27 June
The southwest monsoon in Delhi has slowed down due to the mid latitude westerly winds progressing towards southwest monsoon, but there can be thunderstorm and lightening in Delhi from Tuesday. In addition, monsoon which was expected in Delhi by 15th June may now arrive by 27th June.

IIT Ropar develops electricity free device “Jivan Vayu”
The Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar has developed a device called “Jivan Vayu”, which can be used as a substitute of CPAP machine. “Jivan Vayu” is the nation’s first machine that can work without electricity. It is adapted to both kinds of oxygen including oxygen pipeline in hospital and O2 cylinders.

Yogi Government’s new project to benefit lakh of farmers in the state
The UP government is launching a new irrigation project, which can benefit over 40 lakh farmers. The farmers of all regions including Bundelkhand, Western Uttar Pradesh and Purvanchal will be benefitted through this new irrigation project, but the maximum benefit will be availed by farmers of Bundelkhand

IIRR releases new varieties of rice
The India Institute of Rice Research, has recently released four brand new varieties of rice namely - DRR Dhan 54, DRR Dhan 56, DRR Dhan 55, DRR Dhan 53. These new varieties of rice have uniqueness on their own, some are bacterial resistant, some are dry seeded rice, which needs very less amount of water while cooking.

India to promote bilateral relations based on Kenya's 'Big Four Agenda
Underlining that Africa's priorities will continue to be the main factor in bilateral cooperation, S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister referred to the 'Big Four Agenda' of Kenya on manufacturing, universal health, affordable housing and food security & emphasized that India will further build upon its joint venture taking these into account.
The minister, who concluded a 3-day visit to Kenya on 14 June 2021, co-chaired the third session of the Kenya-India Joint Commission meeting.
