  • Army Day: World’s Largest National Flag Displayed At Jaisalmer

    As a part of the 74th Army Day celebrations, “Monumental National Flag”- the worlds largest national flag is made from Khadi. It was displayed along with the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan’s Longewala on January 15, 2022 (Saturday). Longewala was the Centre stage of battle between the India & Pakistan in 1971. The Southern Command unveiled the flag of size 225 feet’s by 150 feet at Jaisalmer.

  • IMD Warns Dense Fog In The Next 4 Days In This State

    The India Meteorological Department issued a warning on Saturday for severe to very dense fog in portions of northwest India for the next three to four days. During the following 24 hours, similar circumstances are predicted to hit West Uttar Pradesh. The weather forecast organization forecasted light to moderate rainfall in various states, as well as dense fog in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand, according to a comprehensive advisory.

  • MP Agri-Varsity Develops New Varieties of Wheat, Rice & Oats

    An official said on Saturday that a state-run agricultural institution in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur has created new types of oats, wheat, rice, and niger crop that are suited for cultivation in other states as well. The Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKVV) has created two oat and wheat varieties, one rice variety, and three niger types that have been approved by the Centre as acceptable for production, according to vice-chancellor Dr P K Bisen of the institution. According to him, the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare had issued a gazette notification in this respect on January 3.
