  • Case registered against Kangana Ranaut for tweet on farmers

    A case has been registered against Kangana Ranaut, famous Bollywood actress in Karnataka for her tweet targeting farmers who are protesting against controversial central farm laws, police said on 13 October 2020. The case has been registered by police in Tumakuru district earlier this week based on the recent order of a local court.

  • India Rain Updates: Many killed due to incessant rainfall in Mumbai, Hyderabad

    Around 23 people have been killed in Telangana on Wednesday (14 October 2020) as a deep depression passed over the state, bringing incessant rain & widespread destruction. The weather department said that the state received 144 percent excess rainfall than normal in the past two weeks with capital Hyderabad recording 404 percent excess rainfall than normal, which is the highest in the state. On the other hand, Mumbai also received heavy showers.

  • Postpone CBSE Board Exams 2021, reduce syllabus said Delhi Government to CBSE 

    Delhi Government has written a letter to the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, urging it to postpone Board Examinations of March 2021 to May. It has also asked the central board to consider reducing the CBSE 10th and 12th Board Exam 2021 syllabus further, as the schools continue to remain closed. 

     

     

  • SC says Allahabad HC to monitor Hathras case, victim’s family seeks trial in Delhi

    The supreme court on Thursday said that thr Allahabad High court would monitor the Hathras case in which a 19-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly gangrape and assaulted, leading to her death. During the hearing before the Chief Justice S A Bobde-led bench, advocate Seema Kushwaha, appearing for the victim’s family, demanded that the proceedings of the case be shifted out of Uttar Pradesh to a court in the national capital.

  • BJP leader seeks FIR against Farooq Abdullah  

    Delhi’s Bharatiya Janata Party leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has today (15 October 2020) filed a complaint with police, seeking FIR against National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah for his statement regarding Article 370.
