Integrate Technology to Take Ayurveda Globally, Says Experts at CSIR-NIIST
Leading experts from across the country said today at a thematic session held as part of One Week One Lab (OWOL) at CSIR-NIIST that leveraging technology and scientific processes is critical in establishing Ayurveda as a holistic, sustainable, and affordable wellness solution for the entire world. Speaking on ‘Ayurswasthya’, the panellists said the time-tested Indian traditional system of medicine can play a vital role in addressing even serious health challenges staring at the modern world by adopting appropriate scientific and technological methods and platforms without diluting the fundamentals for the validation and regulation of drugs and procedures.

Agriculture Lands to be Created from Wasteland Clusters In Tamil Nadu
Madurai district of Tamil Nadu is seeking to make use of it's wastelands in a productive manner. Specific wasteland clusters are being chosen all across the district, in order to turn it into productive agricultural land. Specific wasteland clusters are being chosen all across the district to be converted to agriculture lands, according to Collector S. Aneesh Sekhar, on Tuesday. The Collector reviewed the projects completed under the Kalaignarin All Village Integrated Agricultural Development Program here at Chellampatti Village Panchayat Union with Joint Director of Agriculture T. Vivekanandan and Deputy Director of Horticulture Revathi.

Gujarat Farmers to Get Daytime Electricity in The Next 2 Years
The Gujarat government reversed its stance on the contentious issue. Gujarat farmers protested the provision of daytime electricity throughout the state during the Gujarat assembly elections in 2022. The Bhartiya Kisan Sangh, an RSS wing, also protested the government on this issue. The government promised farmers at the time that they would have access to electricity even during the day by the end of 2022.

Govt Urges District Collectors to Allot 5000 Dairy Booths in Rajasthan by March 20
The state government has set a week’s deadline for all the district collectors to fulfil the announcement made for the allotment of five thousand dairy booths in the state. For the same, the directorate of local bodies has issued a notice to complete the allotment process by March 20.

“Small Farmers Constitute 85% of Farming Community, Face Challenge of Lack of Private Investment”: Says Tomar
Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that empowering small farmers will boost India's GDP. He stated that Small Farmers account for 85% of the farming community and face the challenge of a lack of private investment. Farming is the backbone of the Indian economy, he says, and the farm ecosystem is the main pillar of the Indian economy. Tomar stated that the Central Government has launched an ambitious programme to form 10,000 Farmers Producer Organizations (FPOs) with a Rs.6,865 crore investment to boost the economic capacity of Small Farmers.
