  • Weather Alert! IMD issues heatwave warning for Mumbai for next two days

    On 14 March Monday, Mumbai registered the highest temperature of the year so far at 39.4 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), issued a warning about a severe heatwave warning in the regions of Palghar, Thane, and Raigad.

  • ICAR: Helps A Farmer Grow Organic Sugarcane

    The Indian Council Of Agricultural Research-Sugarcane Breeding Institute (ICAR-SBI), has helped a farmer in growing sugarcane organically. It also trained him about marketing jaggery. According to a press release from the institute, after farmer R. Ramasamy of Varappalayam, Thadagam expressed his desire of cultivating sugarcane organically, the extension section of ICAR-SBI supplied and guided him about the whole procedure.
