  • Weather Department Issues Rain Red Alert in Mumbai

    Heavy rainfall since morning has led to waterlogging in several parts of Mumbai city. Weather department has warned of more rainfall throughout the day. The city's civic body has urged residents to "follow all necessary precautions & stay away from the sea". It has also upgraded its alert from 'Orange' to 'Red' for Mumbai, warning of "heavy to very heavy" rainfall on 15th July.

    It must be noted that a 'Red' alert means "immediate action" to be taken by concerned authorities.

  • NTPC Recruitment 2020: Apply for 275 Engineer, Assistant Chemist Posts

    National Thermal Power Corporation Limited is inviting applications for the recruitment to the post of Assistant Chemist and Engineer. A total of 275 vacancies are available in this current recruitment drive, out of which 250 are for Engineer while 25 for Assistant Chemist positions. Those interested can apply at NTPC Recruitment 2020 on the official website - ntpccareers.net from 15th July 2020. The last date to apply for NTPC Engineer & Assistant posts is 31st July 2020.

  • TASK and Coursera Together will train 50,000 Unemployed Youth

    Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), which is a non-profit organisation set up by the State government, has joined hands with Coursera, an online learning platform in order to train 50,000 unemployed youth during the Corona crisis. As part of the programme, more than 3,800 courses on cloud computing, blockchain, data science, computer science, and artificial intelligence will be provided.

  • Coronavirus Testing: Govt. launches ‘world’s most affordable’ Covid-19 test kit made by IIT Delhi

    Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister, Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank along with Minister of State (HRD), Mr. Sanjay Dhotre have launched a low-cost Coronavirus test developed by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Delhi on 15th July 2020. The Covid-19 test, Corosure, has been billed as the most reasonable probe free RT-PCR based Coronavirus diagnostic kit. On Tuesday, the minister took to Twitter & announced that the diagnostic kit would be launched on Wednesday.
