  • 90,000 Ineligible PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Beneficiaries Identified in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu

    The Department of Agriculture has recognized over 90,000 ineligible beneficiaries under PM-KISAN Nidhi scheme in Tamil Nadu’s Villupuram district and recovered Rs. 7.5 crore so far. An official said that a number of these fake beneficiaries had received more than 1 instalment in their bank accounts.

  • Light Rainfall likely over isolated places in North-East Delhi: IMD

    India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said that light rainfall is likely over isolated places in North-East Delhi. It said, “Light to moderate rain is expected to occur over and neighbouring areas of Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Deoband and Saharanpur. Light rain will occur over isolated places of North-East Delhi (Badli, Azadpur, Burari, Model Town) during the next two hours”.

  • Uttar Pradesh Farmers Protest at U.P. Gate in Ghazibad

    A number of farmers from neighboring state Uttar Pradesh are protesting against the agriculture ordinances promulgated by PM Narendra Modi led-BJP government, at UP Gate in Ghaziabad. The ordinances are expected to be introduced in Parliament's Monsoon Session that starts today (14th September 2020).

  • Government imposes ban on devotees gathering during Amavasya at pilgrimage sites 

    The Haryana government has imposed a ban on the gathering of devotees during Amavasya on September 17, 2020 at pilgrimage sites. This decision was taken due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic according to the state Information and Public Relations Department. Usually devotees gather at Kurukshetra and Pehowa pilgrimage sites for pind-daan of their forefathers on the Pitrapaksh occasion. Now, to prevent the spread of the pandemic, the administration of Kurukshetra has imposed a complete ban on gatherings.  

  • Hindi Diwas: Hindi not competing with any regional language, says Amit Shah

    On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday pushed for greater use of Hindi by officials and the youth saying that India’s culture and value systems had remained protected primarily because of the language. He also emphasized that Hindi was not competing with any regional language. “Hindi has only complemented and strengthened other regional languages. It has never competed with any local language.

  • Power Ministry claims investment of Rs 11,000 crore for electrification  

    RK Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, New and Renewable Energy and Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, has said that in the past 3-4 yrs, the Power Ministry has invested 11,000 crore rupees worth of initiatives for electrification in Bihar. This includes, substations, transmission & rural electrification projects.
