    Chicken prices in the state of Andhra Pradesh are going up due to the severe scarcity of birds. In the months of summer, the mortality rates of birds usually go up, which results in their short supply in the local markets. Prices of chicken have reached the mark of Rs. 310 per Kg.

    257 students of Guru Ghasidas Central University (GGU), which is located at Bilaspur, visited a government poultry farm in Koni, Chhattisgarh to learn about poultry rearing.  Poultry farming and management have been included in their curriculum.

    The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a severe heatwave warning for the Konkan and Saurashtra-Kutch regions. They also forecasted heatwaves in the southwestern region of Rajasthan, the coastal region of Karnataka, and Gujarat.

  • The Haryana Agriculture Department's film ranked second at the festival

     A short film made for the purpose of spreading awareness about the issue of stubble burning has won the second prize in the MANAGE agri-film festival 2022, which was held in Hyderabad. Over 20 states participated in the event.
