  • IMD Issues Red, Orange & Yellow Alerts in Kerala

    Heavy rains caused by the water logging, minor landslips & disruption of train service in some parts of Kerala on 13th November (Saturday), prompting authorities to sound extreme caution in hilly areas, river sides & tourist centers. The weather department has issued a red alert for the Thiruvananthapuram district. And on 12th November (Friday), the India Meteorological Department issued Orange & Yellow alerts for the southern district for 13th & 14th November. The department has predicted extremely heavy rains in Thiruvananthapuram & issued an orange alert, warning of very heavy rainfall for Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Kollam, Alappuzha & Idukki districts.

     

  • Tea Production in India Increase by 97.52 Mkgs

    The production of tea in India has increased by 97.52 Mkgs during January – September period as compared to 2020 & the projected production in the calendar 2021 is expected to be around 1360 million kg as compared to 1257 million kg in 2020. This was divulged by Mr. Raj Bansal president, of the Tea Association of India (TAI) at the 48th biennial annual general meeting held on Friday.

     

  • Delhi CM Calls an Emergency Meeting to Tackle Air Pollution

    On 13th November (Saturday), the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal called an emergency meeting to tackle the air pollution after Supreme Court asked the authorities to take immediate measures. This meeting is to be held at 5:00 pm, and it will be attended by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendra Jain, Environment Minister Gopal Rai & Delhi Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba, said the officials. Earlier, Supreme Court has suggested the Centre for 2 days lockdown to tackle the air pollution in Delhi.
