    India's total case tally stands at 71,75,881 including 8,38,729 active cases, 62,27,296 cured/discharged/migrated cases & 1,09,856 deaths, according to the ministry of health. In the past 24 hours, 706 deaths were reported.

    PM Narendra Modi today said that his government's 'historic' farm reforms would create opportunities to take farmers to entrepreneurship. He said his government is focused on increasing farmers income by 2022. Prime Minister was speaking after releasing the autobiography of former Union Minister Balasaheb Vikhe Patil & renaming the Pravara Rural Education Society in Ahmednagar district after the Padma Bhushan recipient through video conferencing.

  • Aarogya Setu app helped identify Covid-19 clusters: WHO

    World Health Organisation Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus cited India’s Covid-19 contact tracing app Aarogya Setu as one among several tech tools to help public health departments identify clusters and expand testing. In WHO’s latest media briefing, Ghebreyesus emphasised on the need to implement “tried and tested public health tools”.

    A war of words has broken out between, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray after the former sent a letter on Monday demanding the immediate reopening of places of worship and asking if the Shiv Sena chief if he has turned “secular”.  Thackeray replied stating he does not need a certificate for his Hindutva from Koshyari, or any lessons on Hindutva.
