  • AARDO Concludes Day 1 of Its International Online Training Programme on Millets for Global Food Security

    The African Asian Rural Development Organisation (AARDO) inaugurated its four-day-long international online training session ‘Millets for Global Food Security’ today. The training session was organized in light of the ongoing International year of Millets 2023 with Krishi Jagran as its media partner. Dr. Sanjeev K. Behera, Head of the IEC Division, AARDO started the inaugural session followed by Dr. Manoj Nardeosingh, Secretary General, AARDO, and Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Former Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, GOI, who was the Guest of Honor of the session.

     

  • G20 India Day 1: Delegates Visit the Historic Rajwada Palace

    The city of Indore welcomed delegates to the 1st Agriculture Deputies Meeting (ADM) of the Agriculture Working Group (AWG) under G20 India. On the first day of the G-20 Agriculture Working Group Meeting in Indore, representatives from member nations went on a heritage tour, as reported by Anjul Tyagi, Journalist, Krishi Jagran. The delegates visited Rajwada Palace and the chhatris of Indore's historical Holkar State.

     

  • Kerala Animal Husbandry Department Announces Compensation for Farmers Affected by Lumpy Skin Disease

    The Animal Husbandry Department in Kerala has recently announced that they will be taking steps to provide compensation to farmers whose cattle have died due to lumpy skin disease. The compensation will be provided at a rate of ₹30,000 for cows, ₹16,000 for heifers, and ₹5,000 for calves under six months of age. This compensation is aimed at alleviating the financial burden on farmers who have been affected by this disease. The department is also setting up a single-window mechanism for faster licensing, improving taluk-level laboratories for disease detection, and working with the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University for technological solutions.

     

  • PM Modi Inaugurates Asia's Largest Aero Show: Aero India 2023 in Bengaluru

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Aero India 2023, Asia's largest aero show, in Bengaluru today. “The runway to a billion opportunities” is the theme of the 14th edition of the aviation show, which will take place over five days. Rajnath Singh, India's defence minister, stated on Sunday that the aero show would showcase the country's manufacturing prowess as well as its indigenous tools and technologies. The establishment of alliances with foreign enterprises will also be a priority. According to Singh, the occasion will greatly advance the aviation industry.

     

  • UPGIS-2023 Concludes Successfully; Receives Investment Worth Rs 33.5 lakh crore

    The three-day Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 concluded on Sunday in Lucknow, with the state government receiving investment proposals worth Rs 33.50 lakh crore, according to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. According to him, the state has received investment proposals worth Rs 32.92 lakh crores through roadshows for the Global Investors Summit 2023 and is ready to serve as the country's growth engine in accordance with the Prime Minister's vision.
