Johnson & Johnson to stop selling talc-based baby powder globally
Johnson & Johnson (J&J) is to stop selling and making talc-based baby powder globally, two years after it ended sales in the US and Canada. The healthcare firm has faced tens of thousands of lawsuits from consumers who allege its talc products, including the instantly recognisable brand of Johnson's baby powder, caused them to develop cancer.

India To Register 14% Growth In Seafood Exports Products
India is likely to register around 14 percent growth in exports of seafood products valued at close to $8.86 billion in the current season. The country had shipped marine products worth $7.76 billion this year. According to KN Raghavan, Chairman, Marine Products Export Development Authority, “Export of seafood products has grown by nearly 15 percent at $1.99 billion in value terms during the first quarter of this year, over the same period last year. We have a target of touching exports of around $8.86 billion during this year and we are on the path to achieving that.

NDDB & NDRI To Work Together To Take Lumpy Skin Disease Treatment Research to Farmers
National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) has decided to work with the National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, to take the research for lumpy skin disease treatment to the farmers. Meenesh Shah, chairperson of the NDDB, stated, "We have decided to work together and carry the research work further so that farmers can get the benefits."

Punjab Government Pays Arrears Of 100 Crore To Sugarcane Farmers
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann released the outstanding payment of 100 crore rupees to the sugarcane farmers and declared that his government was dedicated to paying all pending farmer debt. The state's cooperative sugar mills or the government were required to pay the state's sugarcane farmers' pending arrears, which was around 295.60 crores .

NRAA proposes policies to boost the growth of rainfed agriculture.
A draught policy proposes several measures to accelerate the growth of rainfed agriculture in the country, including reviving millet-based cropping systems, releasing new climate-resilient varieties, improving water use efficiency, and encouraging allied agri-activities.

Agri fintech start-up Kisan Vikas (KiVi, operated by Agrosperity Tech Solutions, and an incubatee of IIT Madras Research Park) has announced the launch of farm loans on its platform which allows small holders to access timely, affordable and structured credit from lending institutions.
