    In the bustling corridors of the United Nations Headquarters in New York, India stood out as a beacon of success in forest conservation during the 19th Session of the United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF), held from May 6th to May 10th, 2024. Led by Jitendra Kumar, Director General of Forests and Special Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the Indian delegation highlighted the remarkable strides made in preserving and sustainably managing its forest resources.

  • Mahindra & Mahindra and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) Sign MoU for Drone Didi Yojana; Skilling Women to Become Drone Pilots

    Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., India’s leading Farm Equipment company and the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) to conduct two Pilots under the Drone Didi Yojna. Launched earlier this year, the scheme aims to train 15,000 women to operate drones for agricultural purposes such as fertiliser sowing, crop monitoring and seed sowing, thereby creating new livelihood opportunities for women through imparting skills in new technology areas.

This is the conclusion of the latest business climate survey conducted in April by VDMA among its member companies operating in India. It shows a continuing stable economic picture, although the business situation has weakened slightly since the last survey in October.
