Assam Government to Provide Aid to Flood-Affected Fish Farmers
Parimal Suklabaidya, Assam's minister of fisheries said that the state administration will provide help to fish farmers who suffered significant losses as a result of the present flooding in order to revive the state's fish industry. "Nearly 80% of the state's fish farmers have suffered major losses, with an estimated cost of more than Rs 1,000 crore. The data was acquired from several state districts. By July 15, we will be able to get the exact amount. However, preliminary information suggests that over 80% of the state's fish farmers have suffered, according to Parimal Suklabaidya.

Rubber Board Inks MoU with Navsari Agri University to Grow Natural Rubber in South Gujarat
The Rubber Board has signed an agreement with Navsari Agricultural University in Gujarat to assess the viability of rubber cultivation in the south Gujarat region. In the presence of KN Raghavan, Executive Director, Rubber Board, and ZP Patel, Vice-Chancellor, Navsari Agricultural University, the MoU was signed by Jessy, M.D., Director (Research), Rubber Board, and TR Ahlawat, Director of Research, Navsari Agricultural University. Rubber Board is working hard to expand the area under natural rubber in the country in order to increase production. Natural rubber (NR) is a critical industrial raw material with significant strategic significance, and it is used in the production of approximately 40,000 products that are critical to the nation's economic and commercial development.

Banas Dairy Announces Rs 1,650-cr Price Difference for Milk Producers
On Monday, while speaking to a large crowd of over 5,000 milk producers on the outskirts of Palanpur, the district headquarter of Banaskantha, Shankar Chaudhary, Chairman of Banas Dairy, said the 19.12% price difference for the year 2021-22 would amount to Rs. 1,650 crore, the highest sum ever. The dairy had given a price difference of Rs 1,132 crore in the previous year, 2020-21, while it was Rs 1,144 crore in 2019-20. The price difference is the additional compensation paid to milk producers over and above the milk procurement price. Additional revenue is generated by the sale of value-added and non-dairy products. Profits from the sale of these products are calculated and distributed among dairy members at the end of the year. "The entire amount will be deposited directly into the milk pourers' bank accounts within the next 15 days," Chaudhary said.

UPL Launches Initiative to Educate Cotton Farmers on Pest Management
UPL Ltd., a global provider of sustainable agriculture products and solutions, undertook the initiative to educate farmers on techniques of sucking pest management in crops like cotton in Haryana (Sirsa). Food Safety & Drug Administration to Launch Campaign Against Food Adulteration in Lucknow
A campaign to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in Lucknow will soon be launched by FSDA authorities. As a result, authorities will take strict action against food outlets, restaurants, and hotels that sell contaminated goods while conducting surprise raids to monitor the quality of the food. The Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) is preparing to begin an implementation and awareness campaign in Lucknow with the objective of earning the top place in the Eat Right Challenge -2 programme after placing fifth nationally in the Eat Right Challenge - 1 programme.
