  • Tamil Nadu Rains: IMD Issues Red Alert In These Districts

    On 10th November (Wednesday), the India Meteorological Department issued a red alert in Chennai & northern Tamil Nadu between 10th & 11th November. Balachandran, Deputy Director-General, IMD-Chennai said that “On 11th November, there is extremely heavy rainfall is expected at one or two places in Salem, Chennai, Tirupattur, Vellore, Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai district. He also said that a low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to concentrate into a Depression & cross north Tamil Nadu & South Andhra Pradesh coast between Sriharikota and Karaikal around the Cuddalore by the evening of 11th November.

  • Cabinet Approves Increase In Ethanol Price

    On 10th November (Wednesday), the government approved an increase in the restoration & continuation of a Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) and support of Rs 17,408.85 crores to the Cotton Corporation of India for minimum support price (MSP) operations. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) also raised the price of sugarcane-based ethanol by up to Rs 1.47 per liter for blending with petrol for the supply year 2021 to 2022.

  • Maharashtra District Issues Covid Rules - Not Vaccinated? Then, No Ration, Petrol & Diesel

    A Maharashtra has issued a strict Covid vaccination rule for the people, who have not taken even a single dose of vaccine till now. In the states’ Aurangabad district, the officials have asked ration shops & fuel pumps to sell the groceries, diesel & petrol to the people who have taken at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. Sunil Chavan, Aurangabad Collector directed the authorities of the fair price shops, gas agencies & petrol pumps to check the vaccination certificates of customers.
