A 1000-year-old chicken egg found in Israel
A 1000-year-old chicken egg was recently found in Israel. A team of archeologist from the Israel Antiquities Authority has discovered this 100-year-old-egg in a salvage excavation in the town of Yavne, while excavating an ancient cesspit.

AISTA: Sugar Mills in India exports 4.25 million tonnes of sugar this year
All India Sugar Trade Association said Sugar Mills in India exported 4.25 million tonnes of sugar in the ongoing marketing year of 2020-2021, which is ending in September. Sugar mills have contracted to export 5.85 million tonnes of sugar, and about 1,50,000 tonnes of sugar is left to be exported against the 6 million tonnes quota assigned by the Food Ministry.

Monsoon arrives in Gujarat and parts of Central India
After leaving Mumbai flooded with waterlogging, the monsoon has arrived before the normal date, into the South Gujarat and parts of Central India as well. The India Meteorological Department warned Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bengal, and Bihar for the upcoming arrival of monsoon and thunderstorm.

The latest data analysis of tea board shows that the avg. price of India’s tea export in fiscal 2020-2021 fell in both value and volume, but there was increase in the unit price, as compared to the previous fiscal.

Black pepper prices rise to Rs. 400 per kg
The price of black pepper went up to Rs. 400 per kg-level for ungarbled varieties of black pepper, after a gap of two years in the Kochi terminal market. The traders have attributed reasons for the price rise.

Padma Shri Awardee, Professor Radha Mohan dies at the age of 78
Padma Shri Awardee, Odisha’s former information commissioner and Environmentalist professor Radha Mohan died. He was 78 and is survived by three daughters. The sources said that he was being diagnosed by pneumonia and his treatment was undergoing at a private hospital. President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, condoled his death.
