NABARD Report: AP Leads the Way in Infrastructure Development in the Agriculture Sector
The state of Andhra Pradesh has made infrastructure and ancillary facilities for the farming sector a top focus. The State government has committed Rs 11,477 crore for farmers and related infrastructures and design in the 2021-22 AP Budget, according to a study published by the National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).

This 'Rakhi' Guards the Plant Against the Pink Bollworm
Last Kharif season, cotton grower Ankush Mote of Adasa village in Kalmeshwar tehsil did not spray his crop to protect it from pink bollworm. Despite this, Mote claimed to have harvested two quintals more cotton in 2020-21 after suffering severe crop loss from the insect. Mote's farm turned around after he switched to PB knots, a thin wire filled with lures based on Japanese technology, to combat insect invasions.

Ration Cards for Ineligible Ghaziabad Households Should be Surrendered by May 20
Officials indicated on Monday that the deadline for ineligible folks to submit their ration cards has been extended until May 20, after which the district supplies department will begin recovery processes. Despite the fact that the time to surrender ration cards has passed, only 991 persons have done so in Ghaziabad.

As the rainy season approaches, the Agriculture Ministry announces Water Strategy
Thailand: The Royal Irrigation Department (RID) has been directed by the Agriculture Ministry to prepare workers and drainage machinery for the beginning of the rainy season next week. On Monday, Agriculture Minister Chalermchai Sree-on urged farmers should retain as much rainfall as possible and use it efficiently.

Farmers Demand Rs. 6K Per Acre Compensation Due to a Drop-in Wheat Production
Members of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) district unit delivered a letter of demands to Fatehgarh Sahib MLA Lakhveer Singh Rai, who will transmit it to the Chief Minister. Farmers said that due to changes in weather during the current wheat season, yields have fallen, resulting in losses for the farmers, and that they should be compensated with Rs 6,000 per acre.
