  • DFI and ADB Establish High Impact Drone Solutions for Indian Army

    Drone Federation of India (“DFI”) and the Indian Army signed a MoU for accelerating drone technology Development and indigenization in the drone ecosystem. DFI and ADB have established a holistic collaboration on roadmap planning, research, testing, manufacturing, and adoption of drone, counter-drone and associated technologies that are to be utilized by the Indian Army in its operations. On this, “Smit Shah, President, Drone Federation of India said ‘Indian drone startups have started delivering specialised products that meet the Indian Army’ frontline requirements. This collaboration between DFI and ADB will establish new drone use cases and develop high-impact drone solutions for the Indian army soldiers.

  • PM Modi Urges States To Step Up Farm Output As Global Food Prices Rise

    PM Narendra Modi has urged the states at the Niti Aayog governing council meeting to step up domestic production by accelerating the process for the modernization of agriculture, animal husbandry, and food processing to help India become self-sufficient and a global leader in the farm sector.

  • Govt Forms Committee To Examine Ways To Strengthen MSP System

    The government has formed a committee to investigate ways to strengthen the minimum support price (MSP) system for farmers in the future & the committee will look into ways to strengthen the MSP system and how farmers can benefit from the support price mechanism. Agriculture Minister of State Kailash Choudhary said in the Rajya Sabha that the agriculture budget has been increased from Rs 27,000 crore in 2013-14 to Rs 1.32 lakh crore.  He said that India is among the top ten countries in terms of agri-funding allocation.

  • Punjab CM Talks About Farmers Situation At NITI Aayog Meeting

    The Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann while addressing the national council meeting of Niti Aayog presented the case of food growers of the state by underlining the need for making Minimum Support Price a legal guarantee and ensuring a full proof marketing system for alternative crops. He recalled that at the time when the country was starving for food, the hard-working and resilient farmers of the state had made the country self-reliant in food production.

  • MP Aims To Generate Extra 20,000 Of Green Power By Coming Years

    Madhya Pradesh has set an ambitious target of generating an additional 20,000 Megawatt  of green power by  upcoming years through renewable energy sources, including setting up of a solar plant in the Chambal region once notorious for dacoits, and supplying it to other states. The state currently produces 5,500 MW of green energy through various renewable power sources and a major part of it is sourced through solar power.

  • Brazil Reduces Imported Tax On Herbicide

    At the Executive Management Committee of the Chamber of Foreign Trade comprising authorities linked to the Brazilian Ministry of Economy, a decision was made to reduce the import tax on the most popular herbicide in Brazil, glyphosate, and on its monoisopropylamine salt for a period of one year. This will help address supply problems in certain production chains, with different degrees of severity and significant cost increases in inputs from other chains.
