  • Dr. Anup Das Appointed as New Director of ICAR-RCER, Patna

    On February 6, Dr. Anup Das assumed the office as the fifth full-time director of the ICAR-Research Complex for Eastern Region. Dr. Das's current contract is for five years. On the advice of the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB), New Delhi, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research appointed him to the position of Director.

     

  • Tamil Nadu Government Announces Rs 20,000 Relief per Hectare for Cauvery Delta Farmers

    Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Monday announced that a relief package of Rs 20,000 per hectare would be given to Cauvery delta farmers for loss of yield to the tune of 33% or more for ready to harvest paddy crop affected by unseasonal heavy rainfall.

     

  • PM Kisan Latest Update: Over 11 crore Farmers Received Rs. 2.24 lakh crore

    The government informed Parliament that over Rs. 2.24 lakh crore has been transferred directly into the accounts of 11.5 crore farmers across the country under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Agriculture Minister in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha said that the Government has disbursed more than Rs. 2.24 lakh crore to beneficiaries of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. He said that of the total amount, around Rs. 1.7 lakh crore have been transferred during the pandemic induced lockdown, which has greatly helped them in managing their daily as well as farm expenses.

    In the third quarter (Q3) of Financial Year (FY) 2022-23, Bayer CropScience Limited (BCSL) earned Revenue from Operations of ₹ 10,379 million, as compared to ₹ 9,901 million in the corresponding period of FY 2021-22.

     

  • FSSAI Suspends 2 Chemical & Biological Testing Labs in MP For 6 Months

    FSSAI suspends two chemical & biological testing labs in Madhya Pradesh for 6 months in its drive to eliminate substandard testing. Krishna Digital Material Testing Laboratory, Bhopal, and QTTL Lab are the two laboratories suspended by FSSAI. The FSSAI conducted surprise audits of the two laboratories in accordance with Regulation 8(1)(a) of the Food Safety and Standards (Recognition and Notification of Laboratories) Regulations 2018.
