  • Govt Plans To Rename Rajpath As 'Kartavyapath'

    According to the officials, the Centre has decided to rename Rajpath and Centre Vista lawns stretching from the Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate as 'Kartavya Path' on September 8 evening. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the entire stretch, which has been renovated under the government's ambitious Central Vista redevelopment project. According to a source, the New Delhi Municipal Council has convened a special meeting on September 7 and the proposal will be placed before it. "

  • Shetkari Sanghatana Demands Permission To Export Onion & Tomato To Pakistan

    Swatantra Bharat Party has demanded that the union government must allow the export of onions and tomatoes to Pakistan as the commodities are in high demand in the neighboring country due to crop damage caused by recent floods. Anil Ghanwat, President of Swatantra Bharat Party in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Foreign Affairs Ministry stated that farmers in India will get a major relief if the export of onion and tomato is allowed by the government.

The decision was taken during the union’s state body meeting at Jat Dharmashala in Kurukshetra. The farmers have threatened to intensify the protests if their demand for an amendment to the Village Common Lands Act was not met.
