Incidents of stubble burning have come down in Haryana as farmers are adopting new ways to deal with agricultural residues. The stubble burning issue has become a hot topic of discussion these days as it has worsened the air quality of Delhi NCR post Diwali. Primary schools have been closed while offices have been asked to work from home after the AQI of Delhi reached ‘severe’ level.

Following the success of a pilot project, the department is now attempting to popularise maize cultivation, and Kerala Feeds Limited (KFL) will offer a price above the market rate to procure the crop.

    PepsiCo, a multinational food, snack, and beverage corporation, is looking to invest US$40 million to expand its Senselet snack business in Ethiopia. The earmarked investment is expected to tenfold the potato chip maker's production capacity and enable it to expand beyond snacks.
