  • GoI Grants Patent BioPrime AgriSolutions for Invention of a Novel Bio-Formulation to Manage Abiotic Stress in Plants

    A novel approach to making crops climate resilient by using extremely small carbon particles known as nano dots and molecules found in plant internal communication systems. This invention will further demonstrate the use of Carbon Quantum Dots (CQDs) as a way to improve the efficiency of photosynthesis by enhancing the absorption of light by the pigment chlorophyll, which is responsible for capturing light energy in plants. Signaling molecules enhance a plant's ability to quench reactive oxygen species that wreak havoc when cells are under stress. Signaling molecules like sphingolipids, traumatin also helped halt cell death and boost recovery of affected cells.

     

  • PMBI Launches Jan Aushadhi Chyawanprash Special; Available at All Jan Aushadhi Kendras

  • FSSAI Awarded ‘Eat Right Station’ Certification to Varanasi Cantt Railway Station

    The FSSAI confers the 'Eat Right Station' certification on railway stations that set standards for providing safe and nutritious food to passengers while also adhering to standard food storage and hygiene practices. Following the completion of an FSSAI-appointed third-party audit with ratings ranging from 1 to 5, the station is awarded a certificate. The 5-star rating indicates that the station is fully compliant in providing safe and sanitary food to passengers. The certification is part of the FSSAI's larger 'Eat Right India' initiative, which aims to transform the country's food system to ensure safe, healthy, and sustainable food for all Indians.

     

  • Hunch Ventures Ties Up with EFFV to Build India's First Net-Zero Food Tech Innovation Project

    This Net-Zero Food Tech Innovation project, spearheaded by the Global Alliance for a Sustainable Planet (GASP), will be the first of its kind in India, focusing on Smart Proteins and innovative food production technologies for lower carbon emissions, cleaner and healthier protein production, and lower GHG emissions. Over the next few decades, the goal is to transition to a Net Zero society. The partners anticipate rapid growth for both the company and the country as a whole. The proposed states and localities are now being defined for the first site.

     

  • Crystal Crop Protection Launches a New Fungicide Mentor for Paddy Farmers

    Crystal Crop Protection on Friday launched a new fungicide Mentor for Paddy farmers. The product not only controls the disease (sheath blight), but it also improves the overall health of the paddy crop, resulting in increased yield and higher quality produce. Mentor has been tested in various State Agri Universities across the country, and over the last five years, more than 1000 demonstrations with farmers have been laid in various paddy growing markets. It has been found to be effective in disease management in paddy, and the product is poised to become a valuable addition to farmers' practices.
