  • Millet Canteen to Start Soon in AIIMS Delhi

    The All India Institute Of Medical Science said in a statement on February 4 that a 'Millet Canteen' will be opened at AIIMS in New Delhi because the Government of India has decided to declare 2023 the 'International Year Millets' in order to make it a people's movement and promote millet products globally.

     

  • Holstein Friesian Cow from Kurukshetra Sets National Record for Milk Yield at Annual Dairy and Agri Expo

    The Annual International Dairy and Agri Expo held in Jagraon, Punjab recently witnessed a historic moment as a Holstein Friesian (HF) cow belonging to two dairy farmers from Kurukshetra, Haryana broke the national record for milk production by yielding 72.39 kilograms of milk in 24 hours. The dairy industry is an important sector in India, and the Annual International Dairy and Agri Expo held in Jagraon, Punjab is a platform for dairy farmers to showcase their skills and compete in various categories, including milk production.

     

  • 2nd Edition of Twin Expos-Dairy & Food Concludes at HITEX, Telangana

    The three-day Twin Expo-Dairy and Food, held at Hitex in Madhapur, Hyderabad, and featuring Dairy/Food Products, Processing & Packaging, concluded on February 5 evening. The expo featured 105 exhibitors showcasing their products and services, including the Coffee Board of India, Godrej Creamline Jersey Products, Dodla Dairy, and others. 7500 people attended the twin shows.

    The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare in India has signed a MoU with Digital Green to create a digital platform for the delivery of information and training to farmers and extension workers. The national digital platform, as proposed by the Indian Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Digital Green, will be a comprehensive solution for the agriculture industry in India. The platform will feature a digital library of content and offer online courses for upskilling in various agriculture-related fields.
