    On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Started the Campaign ‘ Har Ghar Tiranga” under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav to encourage people to bring Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s Independence.   • Syngenta India Collaborates with Adani Agri Fresh to Boost Apple Production in Himachal

    India’s two leading agro firms- Syngenta India and Adani Agri Fresh  have come together to boost apple production in Himachal Pradesh through a new concept called ‘Apple Model Farm’ under which right from providing the apple protocol to adopting the best practices, the growers are enabled through stewardship training for a bumper safe crop of quality fruits. While taking this decision Dr KC Ravi believe that apple production can be taken to the next level by encouraging farmers to adopt innovations and stick to the best practices.

  • Agtech firm BharatRohan to offer parametric crop cover to farmers

    Agritech start-up BharatRohan has introduced ‘Pravir Shield’ which is an initiative to provide parametric crop insurance to farmers in collaboration with ICICI Lombard and rural insuretech broker Gramcover. The pilot phase of the insurance will cover paddy farmers in Barabanki of Uttar Pradesh who use BharatRohan’s drone-based crop monitoring service ‘CropAssure’ which is the start-up. This will help BharatRohan’s subscriber farmers to mitigate losses due to changing weather patterns. The agritech firm aims to cover two lakh farmers by upcoming years.

  • Nutreco Acquires Majority Stake in India based Eruvaka

    Agritech-focused venture capital firm Omnivore announced the sale of Eruvaka to Nutreco in Indian agritech. Based in Vijayawada, Eruvaka develops cloud-based aquaculture pond management solutions which includes real-time monitoring and smart feeders. Nutreco which is a global leader in animal nutrition and aquaculture, acquired a majority stake in Eruvaka. Nutreco’s acquisition of Eruvaka will enable Skretting, its aquaculture business, to deliver on-farm software and smart equipment to shrimp farmers globally.
