The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall and snowfall over the Western Himalayan Region, with thunderstorms and lightning likely in parts of North and Northeast India. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in Arunachal Pradesh, while scattered showers are likely in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. Here are the details:

Western Disturbances Bring Rain and Snowfall to North India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted rainfall and snowfall across North India due to two Western Disturbances. One is currently positioned along longitude 65°E, impacting areas north of latitude 23°, with an associated cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and central Pakistan affecting weather patterns. Another disturbance is expected from February 8, 2025, bringing more precipitation to the region.
